Quick Trip Table Runner Workshop

Student Group/Skill Level: Adult - Beginner to Advanced
In this workshop you will take a quick adventure, creating this beautiful table runner using 2 1/2” strips. Our goal is to complete the table runner top. Time permitting, we will finish with stitch-in-the-ditch quilting.
Project: 28” x 16” table runner.
Date: Tuesday, July 24, 2018
Time: 10:00am - 3:00pm (45 min. lunch break on your own)
Where: Phil’s Sewing Studio 400 E. 5th Street (across the street from Phil’s Sewing Machines)
Workshop Fee: $35.00 due at sign-up. The workshop fee includes the cost of the workshop, Quick Trip Quilts by Eleanor Burns ($18.95 value) and instruction. You will need to bring your own fabric and supplies, see list below. These should be purchased prior to the Workshop.

Supply list: Note- Supplies should be purchased prior to the class. Highlighted items to be purchased at Phil’s, stop by and our staff will happily help you make your selections. We appreciate your support of our small business.
- rotary cutter
- seam ripper
- fabric scissors
- coordinating thread and full bobbin for construction
- thread and full bobbin for quilting (if time permits)
- stitch-in-the-ditch foot (optional if time permits)
We suggest marking your sewing supplies with your name/initials.
Fabrics: All fabrics should be starched and cut before the day of class.
- center: 6 different - 2 1/2” x width of fabric (wof 40”-42”) strips
- first border: 1/8 yard
- second border: 2 - 2 1/2” x wof strips
- binding: 1 package of pre-made or 2 - 2 1/2” x wof strips
- backing: 5/8 yard
- batting or fusible fleece 24” x 30”
Sewing machine* in good working order with accessories, full bobbin and new needle. We have classroom machines available for use at no additional cost and invite you to try one. If you would like to use one of our classroom machines, please let us know prior to the workshop.
*If bringing and using your own sewing machine, must be familiar with it, know how to thread, wind & insert bobbin, select straight stitch, and insert new needle if necessary.
