Quilt As You Go Casserole Caddy Workshop

This is a project that will include: using June Tailor’s pre-printed batting.
Project: Quilted Casserole Caddy
Date: Thursday, September 20, 2018
Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm (45 minutes for lunch break on your own)
Where: Phil’s Sewing Studio 400 E 5th Street (across the street from Phil’s Sewing Machines)
Workshop Fee: $25.00 due at sign-up. The workshop fee includes the cost of the workshop, Quilt As You Go Pre-Printed Casserole Caddy Batting (by: June Tailor, a $13.99 value). 2 yards of webbing for handle, and instruction. You will need to bring your own fabric and supplies, see list below. These should be purchased prior to the Workshop.

Supply list: Note- Supplies should be purchased prior to the class. Highlighted items to be purchased at Phil’s, stop by and our staff will happily help you make your selections. We appreciate your support of our small business.
- 4” of hook and loop tape or Velcro
- rotary cutter
- fabric scissors
- pins for construction
- pins and Pinmoors, or safety pins (your choice for basting the quilt sandwich)
- basting spray (optional)
- coordinating thread and 2 full bobbin for construction
1 package of 27” x 45” Insul-Fleece (optional if you want the caddy to be insulated)
Fabrics: All fabrics should be starched and cut before the day of class. You will receive cutting instructions with payment for this workshop.
- 6 - 1/4 yard main fabric
- 17 pre-cut 5” Squares and 6 pre-cut 2 1/2” strips
- 2/3 yard strapping and binding fabric
- 1 yard backing fabric
Sewing machine* in good working order with accessories, 2 full bobbin and new universal needle. We have classroom machines available for use at no additional cost and invite you to try one. If you would like to use one of our classroom machines, please let us know prior to the workshop.
*If bringing and using your own sewing machine, must be familiar with it, know how to thread, wind & insert bobbin, select straight stitch, and insert new needle if necessary.
